We can confirm that striker, Shannon O’Brien has joined Leicester City Women FC for an undisclosed fee. Her time with the Red & Greens has become limited with the arrivals of Georgia Stevens And WSL Signing Destiney Toussaint as the club go through a transition period since the investment from local business Hycolin.com.
O'Brien, joins the foxes on an 18-month contract after emerging through Aston Villa's youth ranks to became an established talent in the second tier.
Her five goals in 12 outings last term were an impressive indicator of the Coventry-born midfielder's potential and, while injury have limited her appearances in 2020/21, she's excited to get started.
"I’m buzzing," O'Brien admitted this week. "It’s been a while that we’ve been talking about it, but I’m really excited to get going now with a promising team and I’m really looking forward to it.
