Johnson Signs 2 year deal with the red & greens

Nat Johnson Signs For Coventry United Ladies FC
Coventry United have again added another player to their squad with former Sheffield United defender Nat Johnson making the move to the Butts Park Arena.

The 27-year-old Northern Ireland international left The Blades earlier this summer and she has now agreed to join a Coventry United side who are really blossoming in the current transfer window.

Johnson is the third defensive player to be signed by Coventry United boss Jay Bradford as she looks to plug one of the leakiest defences in the FA Women’s Championship in recent times. Johnson’s former Sheffield United defensive colleague Nom Hartley has also recently joined Coventry United, as has former Leicester City full-back Grace Riglar.

During her time in South Yorkshire, Johnson made 13 appearances for Sheffield United in the FA Women’s Championship. The player can also count Leicester City amongst her former second tier clubs.

The defender was named on the bench on three occasions for the Northern Irish national team as they successfully reached the finals of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 against all odds following an exceptional qualifying campaign.

Coventry United have now signed eight players so far this summer and there is a really positive vibe around the club going into the new season.
