Coventry United are delighted to announce our fourth signing of the summer, Grace Riglar from new promoted WSL side, Leicester City.
Riglar grew up locally in Warwick and is an exciting young defender, who adds more brilliance in an ever growing CULFC side.
The defender was previously at Bristol City before make a switch to Leicester in 2020. After her recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Riglar had a short loan spell at West Bromwich Albion.
On her arrival, Riglar said, “I’m happy to be joining Coventry and to be a part of an exciting new adventure.
“I can not wait to get started.”
Riglar helped Leicester City to the FA Women’s Championship title last season. She made three league appearances for Jonathan Morgan’s side while she was regularly named in The Foxes’ matchday squad. The player also spent a short period on loan at third tier side West Bromwich Albion.
The youngster started her career on the books of Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Bristol City before joining Leicester City in summer 2019. The player has had a difficult start to her career after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury (ACL) but she will now be looking forward to a bright future with what looks to be an improving Coventry United side.
The Red and Greens have now completed four summer signings. Riglar is being joined at the Butts Park Arena by the FA Women’s Championship’s top scorer Katie Wilkinson, Welsh international midfielder Charlie Estcourt and former Manchester United and Birmingham City midfielder Mollie Green.
