McGrother was a member of a Loughborough Foxes side who were bottom of the FA Women’s National League Premier North table last season at the time that the campaign was curtailed due to COVID-19. She netted one goal in eight league outings for the Leicestershire club.

Loughborough Foxes merged with Loughborough University over the summer to become Loughborough Lightning. McGrother featured in pre-season for Lightning but it has today been revealed that she is the latest addition at Coventry United.
The Red and Greens confirmed the news via a post on their official club Twitter account.
McGrother will offer Coventry United manager Jay Bradford some versatility with the player able to operate in defence as well as in her preferred position as an attacker. She could be involved in Coventry United’s next FA Women’s Championship match when they travel to Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

The Warwickshire club are keen to push high up the table this season therefore manager Bradford will expect an improved performance from her players at The Oakwood this weekend.
